1.I’m not sure if I’m using a Microsoft Account or not; all I know is that when I signed into Outlook for the first time, ever, I used my yahoo email address as the username.

The first issue is that I’ve installed an app called “People” that, when I click on it, displays a list of all of the contacts that I have stored on my Windows phone.

Answer to Question 1a: I’d want to know whether uninstalling this software would resolve the problem.

When I initially start on my computer, the first screen I see displays my Namecomplete Yahoo email address.

I’m not sure what they did, but it was effective. If the “need a password” checkbox is not checked on the following pages:

  • Control Panel – Power Options – Require a password to be entered when the computer is first powered up
  • Press the Start button, then select Settings, Personalization, Lock Screen, and then Screen Saver Settings. Options for signing in may be found under the Start button’s Settings menu. – Require users to sign in

The second issue is that I have searched my computer for the location of my Yahoo email account and I have discovered it as well as a listed password code in Control Panel -Credential Manager -Windows Credentials. Question2: I notice an option to Edit or Remove it, but I’m not sure if that’s the best course of action. Summary: The requirement to log in with a password gives me the impression that Microsoft is regulating how I use the computer “I” purchased, which is something I do not appreciate.

I will only consider upgrading to Windows 10 once the month of July 2016 draws closer.

It is not a good idea to remove your login password from your computer unless you have a private computer in your house that no one else will ever touch. In that scenario, why not simply erase your password and eliminate the need for the first step? In the past, we’ve spoken about how to get rid of the Windows 10 password by fiddling with the operating system’s power settings. There is, however, a more effective technique to completely delete the password, ensuring that you will never have to input it ever again.

(There is also no reason to suppose that it will not function on following versions.) A password, as well as biometric authentication, or at the very least a PIN, is still recommended in the event that your computer is lost or stolen, or if someone happens to walk by and decides to dig around.

  • You may also utilize our approach described below to re-apply the password requirement whenever circumstances change, such as the arrival of a houseguest or the arrival of a new roommate.

  • Mark Hachman / IDG Even though they’re virtually identical, you’ll be required to log in with a PIN or (gasp!) password.
  • If you manage to type the incorrect password the same way, twice, you’ll see an error message when you reboot.

  • We checked this ourselves on a Lenovo PC recently and it definitely does work.

Why You Probably Shouldn’t Do This

There are a number of important considerations to keep in mind before attempting to use any of the approaches discussed in this article. 1.

If it is a personal computer that no one else will be able to use without your permission, you may choose to eliminate the login password page altogether. Alternatively, you may just disable the login password option in Windows 10 to eliminate the inconvenience. We do not suggest that you remove your login password, and you should continue reading to find out why.

Why Is It Not Recommended

As previously stated, deleting a password for login into Windows may expose your data to danger. Anyone with access to your computer and personal files has the ability to quickly utilize your computer. Second, if your laptop or PC is ever stolen, you may find yourself in a more precarious position.
